Some stories come full circle in the sweetest ways,  and Josh and Kadianne’s is one of my favourites. I’ve had the absolute privilege of photographing their engagement, their wedding, and now… their journey into parenthood. Cue the waterworks (yes, it’s probably the mother in me, but I get emotional just thinking about it).

There’s something incredibly moving about watching two people you’ve seen promise forever to each other now sharing quiet snuggles and sweet sleepy glances with the little life they created. It’s joy on a whole new level  and for Josh and Kadianne, it felt so right. Like this was always their path. Seeing them as parents just made sense. They slipped into these roles with such grace and love that it honestly felt like they’ve been doing it all along.

We did their newborn session at home, which made it extra special because it’s the same place we captured their wedding photos. From vows to lullabies, that home has witnessed the beginning of so many chapters in their story.

Their little one was the perfect bundle of sleepy sweetness, and the whole session had a calm, cozy energy. Just them, in their space, overflowing with love. And maybe a little caffeine. (Because, newborn life.)

It’s moments like this that remind me why I do what I do. Watching couples like Josh and Kadianne grow together,  from “yes” to “I do” to “welcome to the world, baby” fills me up in the best way. I don’t just get to document their milestones… I get to cheer them on, celebrate with them, and cry (happy tears, I promise) behind my camera.

Josh and Kadianne, thank you for letting me walk this journey with you. Your love is beautiful — and now your family is, too. 💛
